    Instructions

    1. Use Elmer's® X-ACTO® #11 Craft Knife (with new blade), 12" x 12" Self-Healing Cutting Mat and 12" Metal Ruler to measure, mark and cut Elmer's® Foam Board into the following pieces: 4" x 4 3/4" (Bottom); 4 3/4" x 5" (Front); 4 3/4" x 8 1/2" (Back) and two 4" x 8" (Side – will cut slant later).  (Hint: Score lightly first and then press more firmly to cut deeper, with several passes of the knife. Replace blades often.)
    2. (Note: You'll be attaching pieces to Bottom in the following order: Side, Front, Back - then diagonally cut one side – and other Side – again trimming, according to the following instructions.) To assemble box, place Bottom flat on table. Use glue gun to apply hot glue to foam edge of one 4" side of one Side piece and quickly press onto top edge of 4" side of Bottom piece, aligning carefully. Apply hot glue to 4 3/4" foam edge of Bottom piece and up 5" on Side piece and attach Front piece. Similarly apply glue to other 4 3/4" foam edge on Bottom piece and along 8" of foam edge of Side piece. Attach Back piece. (Three sides are now attached to Bottom.)
    3. Use Craft Knife, Cutting Mat and Metal Ruler to diagonally cut one Side piece, from Front to Back. Similarly glue remaining Side to box and diagonally trim.
    4. (Note: You will be gluing paper to box one side at a time then trimming paper to fit.) Apply Elmer's® CraftBond™ Extra Strength Glue Stick to entire front of box. Align edge of one sheet of paper with bottom left corner of box Front. Place Front, face down onto Cutting Mat and use Craft Knife and Metal Ruler to trim paper even with top of box Front only. Apply Glue Stick to adjoining right Side of box and wrap paper to attach. Trim paper along diagonal edge only. Finish gluing, wrapping and trimming paper to Back of box, noting that paper will cover about half of Back.
With remaining sheet of paper, similarly apply Glue Stick to other Side and attach paper, aligning with front corner. Trim diagonal edge only. Similarly, glue and wrap paper to Back, trimming excess paper to overlap slightly, and then trimming evenly with top edge.
    5. To finish box edges with ribbon, apply Glue Stick to foam edge of Front. Attach ribbon and use X-ACTO® Designer Series 5" Precision Tip Scissors to evenly trim. Glue and trim ribbon to foam edge of Back, then to both diagonally edges of Sides for a finished look.
