DIY Terra Cotta Herb Pots Craft

Looking for some extra flavor for your patio and your palate? A DIY terra cotta herb pots craft is all you need to grow a selection of fresh herbs in style! Spicing up your DIY herb pots is easy with Elmer’s Painters® and a little creativity!

    Supplies Needed

    1. I wanted to add a little more detail to my terra cotta pots craft, so I drew a simple vine design using Elmer's Painters Pens. This isn't a necessary step but I thought it added a little something extra!
    2. Paint the body of the pot with your chalkboard or matte black paint for a solid background color. I covered the entire section, but you can paint a band around it if you don't want as much paint!
    3.  Once the pots have dried completely, they are ready to write on!
    4. I used a white Elmer's Painters Pen to write the name of the herb on the outside of the pot (you may need to go over it a couple of times to make sure it's a solid white line).
    5. Just for added cuteness, I tied a bow using Raffia Ribbon around the top of my DIY herb pot and put a small dot of Elmer's Glue on the back and side to make sure it stayed in place.
    6. Since my mom loves gardening, I had her plant the pre-grown herbs she wanted in the DIY terra cotta herb pots! (planting seeds will work, too)
